Phlox 'Captain Victory' Garden Phlox is a tall perennial that brings fragrant, dark pink flowers to the garden from July through September. The blooms stand above dark green foliage, giving the plant a clear contrast of flower and leaf. Its upright habit and mature height of 40 to 48 inches make it a useful choice when you want summer color above lower plantings.
Use this broadleaf phlox to add height to a perennial bed or to create a band of pink toward the back of a border. Position it where you can enjoy the sweet floral fragrance as well as the color. The flowers are suitable for cutting, so you can include it in a garden planned for bouquets. Allow room around each plant when arranging a group, using the recommended spacing of 20 to 24 inches.
